For longer than I can remember, my work has had a tradition where fellow staff give lunchtime presentations about their international trips. It’s a fun way to learn about the world and dream up new exotic locations to visit before returning to the email-meeting-email hamster wheel we all seem to find ourselves stuck on.
When I got back into the office following our recent 6-month trip, I was no exception.
“When are you going to give a presentation?” was often the first question I was asked when bumping into my colleagues around the office.
I got a lot of positive feedback on the presentation I gave to them…so I thought I would include it here on my blog so that those of you that have been following along could also enjoy it.
The video starts with a quick overview of where we travelled and how we got there, then gives fun factoids from our trip (Exactly how many grubs did Glenn eat in the jungle?), followed by a summary of some of my most favorite memories and finally, I share my top five curl your toes “oh my heck!” experiences from the trip (including video footage so that you can relive them with me).
So grab some popcorn, sit back and enjoy the ride. It might not be as exciting as binge watching The Walking Dead, but I promise you’ll have a good time!
